tayp - Audio Social Media App

Problem

Whilst working in the social media industry, I had growing concerns. One was the conspicuous nature of social media and the effects it has on people’s metal health; and the other was the effort needed to create quality content.

Solution

In 2017, I came up with an idea to create a social media app based off 90-second voicenotes in forums, so people can create value on what they say rather than what they can show. Content can be made in the comfort of your own bed or when you’re on the move, and as there’s a 90 second limit, people are able to easily listen and respond, creating conversations without interruptions.

Result

Currently, tayp is in internal testing phase with over 200 people signed up to the newsletter and a seperate 200 people following tayp on LinkedIn. Find out more by visiting the website.
