Problem

As official partners of the Home Nations’ (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) Football Teams, Marks & Spencer Food had the challenge of supporting the qualifying teams without infringing in on World Cup partnership rules.

This meant clear support of the England and Wales teams but not clear support of the World Cup itself.

Solution

Marks & Spencer Food recognised the need to create effective and engaging social media content that would connect them with their customers. Our solution was to partner with the England and Wales Football Associations to create unique, exclusive footage of the England and Wales Football teams that would drive interest in the brand and generate positive associations with the products. This innovative approach allowed us to create timely, reactive posts that resonated with our audience and effectively promoted our products.
